Alex Huelsberg Teamrider Surfganic
Aloha,
I am Alex Hulsberg from Siegen and I have been living with my family on Fuerteventura since 2006. I love the sea and am very close to nature. I would describe myself as a real Waterman. Since I was a little boy I love swimming, which I have done professionally since then. My father gave me water sports in the cradle and so he brought me at the tender age of 5 years to windsurfing and bodyboarding. My favourite book was ``The Life of Robby Naish`` As a young rebel I wanted to try new things, bought a shortboard - The Classic :-) After 2 weeks of salt water swallowing and lots of wipeouts, I surfed my first wave. I will never forget this feeling.
From then on, almost every weekend, in wind, weather and cold, I made my way to the North Sea to quench my thirst for waves.
Every year I take part in the SUP long distance race on Fuerte.
Since 2010 I run the Aloha Surf Academy Fuerteventura with my wife Sophie. We can justifiably call ourselves the best surf school in Fuerteventura. We organize surf courses, beach clean ups and a guided tour through my permaculture garden.
I have been involved in environmental protection for years and try to contribute with my knowledge of permaculture and upcycling projects. I am glad to have found a partner in Surfganic who shares my passion as a Waterman and environmentalist.
I am proud to bring my expertise and the Hawaiian vibes as a surfer and environmentalist into Surfganic Surfboards.
A little tip from me: Don't take it too seriously and you will surf much better. :-)
